What it means to be hospitable?

This means delivering to the emotional needs of our guests.

Elements of hospitality:

1. Generosity – assuming the best about people, their thoughts and behaviour.

2. Presence – to be where you are, to give your full attention, the person in front of you is the most important person regardless of how many other people you need to get to.

3. Empathy – Recognise peoples emotions, communicate those emotions back to them, stay out of judgement, and understand if you were them, with their upbringing, their values, their thoughts, you would be talking, walking, thinking just like them.

4. Optimism – don’t see things worse than they are, see them as they are, or better than they are as people follow your energy.

5. Confidence – if you aren’t confident, your guests aren’t confident. If you don’t know something, say you will find out for them.
