Homemade French Fry Seasoning
Homemade French Fry Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons onion salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- These instructions apply to frozen or fresh homemade french fries.
Baked Fries
- Use a pastry brush to lightly coat the french fries with olive oil.
- Sprinkle french fry seasoning as evenly as you can over the fries and bake at 400°F until warm and golden brown. about 20 minutes.
Deep-Fried Fries
- Have the combined french fry seasoning ready and use a slotted spoon to remove the fries from the oil once they are golden-brown.
- Place them on a plate lined with paper towels and sprinkle them immediately with french fry seasoning.
I recommend making this seasoning in bulk and storing them spice jars. (I have this set, it makes it much easier to locate your spices when cooking.)
